About This Tour

Experience one of Peru’s most breathtaking natural wonders on this Rainbow Mountain Tour, an unforgettable adventure through the high Andes. To ensure you enjoy the site with fewer crowds, we depart early at 3:00 AM from Cusco. The journey begins with a two-hour scenic drive through stunning mountain landscapes before stopping for a delicious organic breakfast prepared by our cook. Another hour-long drive brings us to the trailhead, where we start our challenging yet rewarding hike. The trek begins at an altitude of over 4,000 meters (13,100 feet) and takes approximately two hours to reach the summit of Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). At the top, take in the awe-inspiring panoramic views of this multicolored geological masterpiece. Afterward, we continue to the Red Valley viewpoint, another spectacular natural formation with deep red hues. The descent takes about one hour back to the car, where we will enjoy a nutritious organic lunch before heading back to Cusco.
