About This Tour

Escape the crowds and embark on an early morning journey to the stunning Humantay Lake, a breathtaking turquoise glacial lake nestled high in the Andes Mountains. To ensure a peaceful and immersive experience, we begin our tour at 3:00 AM with a private hotel pickup in Cusco. After a 2-hour scenic drive, we arrive at Mollepata, where our cook will prepare a fresh, organic breakfast to fuel the adventure ahead. From there, we continue for another 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the trailhead at Soraypampa. The hike to Humantay Lake takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, ascending through rugged mountain landscapes from 3,900 meters (12,795 feet) to 4,200 meters (13,780 feet). Your guide will lead you to the best viewpoints and explain the significance of this sacred lake in the Andean belief system. After enjoying time to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery, we begin our descent and return to Mollepata for a hearty lunch made with fresh local ingredients before heading back to Cusco.
